The weather in Montana has been grey, gloomy, and freezing and I desperately needed a dose of greenery and a reminder of warmer days. These succulent cupcakes transported me back to a girl’s trip in Joshua Tree this past Labor Day.
I took a large amount of creative liberty when creating these succulents and flowers, I don’t think you’d actually find these exact “plants” out in the desert, but I think they turned out pretty cute.
I used swiss meringue buttercream and a bunch of different piping tips to pipe out all the flowers and succulents. Combining different colors in the piping bag allows for more dimension in your designs.
